London Natural History Society - The place for wildlife in London

The LNHS recording area is a 20 mile radius of St Paul’s Cathedral. This area encompasses a wide range of wildlife habitats and some outstanding nature reserves which result in a surprisingly high number of species of birds being recorded each year. Around 350 species of birds have been recorded since 1900 and in a typical year over 200 species are recorded. Here you can read a series of monthly highlights.

Thanks to Howard Vaughan the principal contributor and Tara Wikramanayake for copy editing.
